Just a quick note to say how proud I am of all of us! We made it through the first day! I had a look at the letters you wrote to me and wrote a quick response to all of them (right in your Doc). It was really nice to hear about what you've been up to!
At this point, 14 of you (out of 25) have written me a letter. Hoping to see a few more today, but also know that this whole distance learning thing is meant to be flexible, so get the work done at your own pace, without stress!
Thanks for getting signed up for IXL, Khan Academy and Gizmos. I will give you more instructions on those in the future. And again, if you haven't signed up yet, no worries. The instructions are at the start of this week's Math Slideshow. Send me an email if you are having trouble.
A few students have already started exploring in IXL, and I encourage the rest of you to do so as well if you're looking for a little extra work. IXL is really fun... just choose your grade, choose a math skill and try to master it!
Something to check out tonight... apparently there is going to be a "Super Pink Moon." Here's some information about this phenomenon. If you want, you could listen to this song while you're checking it out. It's an old favourite of mine, and has a nice calm vibe that might be good for these uncertain times!
I hope you all got outside for a bit yesterday. The weather is so nice this week. I am super lucky that my municipality cut a "labyrinth" into the grass in the vacant lot across from my house. They did it last September but it survived the winter. My daughters and I walked it yesterday afternoon. Super fun!
That's all for now. Have fun doing today's Math and Language work and please be in touch if you're having trouble. You can email me, send a comment on Google Classroom, or message me in Seesaw.
Have a great day everyone!
